1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading and using REVEAL: Detective Mysteries (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

Download the App on your personal device
Install and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
Use the App on multiple devices if you own them

You may NOT:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
Remove copyright or trademark notices
Use the App for commercial purposes (selling, streaming for profit)
Distribute, sell, or rent the App to others
Create derivative works based on the App

3. Account & Profile

3.1 Account Creation

You may create a detective profile with an optional nickname
You are responsible for keeping your device secure
You agree not to share your profile with others (profile is device-bound)

3.2 User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
Use bots or automation to manipulate the App
Violate any applicable laws

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to restrict access to the App if you:

Violate these Terms of Service
Attempt to tamper with or hack the App
Violate applicable laws
Engage in fraudulent activity

4. In-App Purchases

4.1 Pricing & Billing

Prices are displayed in your local currency
Prices are subject to change with notice
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store
You are responsible for any taxes or fees

4.2 Refund Policy

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us
Apple refunds: up to 14 days after purchase
To request a refund, contact Apple directly, not us

4.3 Subscription Terms

No subscriptions are offered (all purchases are one-time)
Credits do not expire

5. User-Generated Content

5.1 Detective Profile

Any nickname or avatar you choose is stored only on your device
It is not transmitted to us or shared with any other user

5.2 Copyright

All Case stories, artwork, and gameplay are copyrighted
You may not screenshot and republish our content for profit
You may screenshot for personal use or non-profit sharing

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 “AS-IS” Service

The App is provided “AS IS” without warranties:

We do NOT guarantee the App will be error-free
We do NOT guarantee the App will run on all devices
We do NOT guarantee specific performance or features
We do NOT guarantee any game progression will be saved

6.2 No Liability for Data Loss

If the App crashes and you lose game progress, we are not liable
We recommend enabling cloud backup (if available)
Lost in-app purchases must be restored through Apple

6.3 Limited Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App ($0 if free)
We are not liable for outages of Apple’s services

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

All game content, design, artwork, and code are our property
REVEAL: Detective Mysteries is a product of Calynix Ltd
All rights reserved

7.2 Your Rights

You retain ownership of your game progress data (locally stored)
You may request a copy of your data (see Privacy Policy)

8. Third-Party Services

8.1 Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for:

Content of third-party sites
Privacy practices of third parties
Technical issues with third-party services

8.2 Third-Party Terms

Apple App Store terms apply to all users
In-app purchases are subject to Apple’s terms

9. Updates & Changes

9.1 App Updates

We may update the App with bug fixes, new features, or security patches
Updates are delivered through the App Store automatically
Some updates may require a new download

9.2 Terms Updates

We may change these Terms with 30 days’ notice
Continued use after notice means you accept the new terms
Major changes will be communicated via app notification

10. Dispute Resolution

10.1 Informal Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales

In some jurisdictions, we offer arbitration as an alternative to court:

Disputes will be arbitrated by a neutral third party
Costs will be split equally
The arbitration award is binding

11. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remain valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, plus the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App. No other communications or agreements apply.
